Interactive TLE Explorer

A Two-Line Element set (TLE) is a fixed-width text format used for decades to publish mean orbital elements for Earth-orbiting objects. Each set is two (sometimes three, with a name line) 69-character lines derived from the old punch-card layout. Tracking software uses those numbers with models such as SGP4 to predict where an object will be.

This Interactive TLE Explorer is a teaching tool. It shows a sample ISS TLE and breaks every field into labeled values. Click a field in the grids, or click inside the TLE text — the cursor position selects the matching element and shows a short description, with an optional deep dive.
